A native of North Dakota, Dr. Pauluk attended undergraduate school at Moorhead State University, receiving a B.A., Psychology, in 1991.
She relocated to San Diego to earn a Masters in Clinical Psychology in 1995 and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1999 from the United State International University in San Diego (now named Alliant University).
To become a licensed clinical psychologist, students must first do two things besides attend classes:
1) Complete more than 1,000 hours of psych work while attending classes; and
2) Complete more than 2,000 hours of psych work immediately after graduating from specialized medical school.
So while she was writing her dissertation as a prerequisite to graduating from college, Dr. Pauluk worked at Montevista Hospital in Las Vegas as a Psych Intern, conducting individual, group, and family therapy for children, adults, and geriatrics.
Immediately after graduation, Dr. Pauluk worked at two psychiatric hospitals, providing crisis management and intervention, and family and group therapy to all age groups. She was then licensed by the State of Nevada in 2000 as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
In 2001, Dr. Pauluk established a private practice in Las Vegas to treat children aged 3 and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and geriatric clients. She worked extensively in in-patient medical hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, nursing homes, as well as in an out-patient private practice.
In 2010, she opened an additional private practice near of the intersection of Loop 101 and Bell Road in Sun City, Arizona after being awarded a license to practice by the Arizona State Board of Psychologist Examiners in October, 2009. In 2014, Dr. Pauluk closed the Arizona office to concentrate on her expanding caseload in Las Vegas.
Dr. Pauluk has been a long-time member of the American Psychology Association (APA).
We work very few insurance companies, in large part because of the turmoil within
the healthcare industry. However, we have a process that provides many clients
reimbursement of some of our session fees by your insurance company (though
some insurers do not reimburse provider fees -- such is the crazy differences among
companies struggling to survice in the healthcare-related financial industry today).
Please call our office with any questions about insurance we accept or will work with.
We do NOT accept Medicare.
For direct pay clients, session fees are $250 for an individual, $300 for couples; initial
session is $350. Please call to discuss special fee circumstances.
